Façade Remediation Works – Resident Information

This website has been created to keep residents and local stakeholders informed about the upcoming façade remediation works at Monument Court.
GPF Lewis PLC is overseeing the project and is committed to keeping residents updated throughout the duration of the works. This page will be regularly updated with progress reports, key dates, and answers to common questions.
What to Expect:
Works to Date:
Block A
Works are progressing well, with brickwork complete to North, East & South elevations, wall build ups for cladding also complete, with decorative cladding panels to be installed.
West elevation scaffold will be continuing until complete as of Monday the 21st of September, to allow works to the upper floors to progress.
Waterproofing to balconies has commenced & will progress during the next period.
Block B
Demolition works are on going & will continue until complete, working around the building from the East side to the West.
Scaffold erection including roof enclosure is now complete, brickwork has been completed to the West & South elevations up to the 2nd storey.
Pedestrian walkway has been completed along the block, with added CCTV & alarms for safety.
Works to the curtain walling system on the 7th & 6th floor is nearing completion, with cladding wall build up preparation ongoing.
Block D
Scaffold works is complete, allowing demolition to commence as of the 21st of September starting with the upper floors.
Upcoming Works
Phase 1 scaffold installation to Block B will continue to the West, South and East elevations to allow for hoist installation and the general progression of the works.
Residents are reminded that all belongings must be removed from balconies and ground floor terraces to enable the works to proceed safely and without obstruction.
Works to Block A will continue with the rebuilding of brickwork to the East elevation, progressing from first floor through to second floor level.
Removal of the brickwork envelope to the Northwest elevation will also continue, followed by the installation of the new non-combustible wall build-up. Works to Block D are scheduled to commence ahead of programme during the week commencing 6 July, with material deliveries, receipt and distribution continuing to support the overall project requirements.
General Notes
Material distribution may require some temporary pedestrian diversions to be put in place for safety reasons. The GPF team apologize for any inconvenience caused.
As you are aware, we had measures in place to prevent use of windows & doors for safety & security reasons, we have removed these measures for ventilation, but we ask for your cooperation with not accessing your balcony at any time, keep your windows open as needed but do not access onto the scaffold as this is a construction zone.
You should take extra care with children & pets should you open your balcony door do not do so beyond a safe distance. Although you can use your balcony outside of working hours the scaffold is alarmed and any access will result in potential police attendance.
Any resident that has not had an internal conditions survey undertaken should contact us to arrange before any demolition work begins adjacent to your flat, as we cannot be help responsible if this is not first recorded should there be any damage incurred.
